CAROLINE BURNS -MASTER OF MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY
Caroline received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Georgia. Her studies focused on Human Development and Family Science, which created a passion for supporting others at various life stages. She began a career in non-profit work at Make-A-Wish Georgia and felt inspired to pursue a degree in family therapy after her time engaging with families in this role. She received her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Abilene Christian University.
Caroline values a collaborative approach to therapy that fosters a trusting and caring relationship with her clients. Through integrating various therapeutic models such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), her hope is to create a personalized space where every individual feels understood. Caroline’s areas of focus include supporting children, teens, young adults, and families experiencing life transitions. Additionally, she is trained in PREPARE-Enrich in an effort to better support couples at all stages of their partnership.
Caroline lives in the Atlanta area and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves exploring new restaurants, evening walks, and listening to her favorite podcasts.
Caroline is under the supervision of Jennifer Wilmoth, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
